Complaints include long wait times for drinks, uncomfortable mattresses, and untrained staff who failed to address concerns effectively. While some visitors enjoyed the delicious food at specific eateries, such as the steakhouse, others felt underwhelmed due to closed restaurants and a lack of engaging activities. Most of the restaurants are closed, and the hotel feels quite empty. When I tried to sleep, I discovered that the mattress was worn out and uncomfortable. I reached out to guest services to express my concerns, particularly since I have back and hip issues. They informed me that all the mattresses are similar and said they would send someone to assist me. After waiting for 45 minutes with no follow-up, I called back only to learn that there was no record of my initial request. Ultimately, no one came to help. Additionally, I found the slot machines to be unyielding, and with so few people playing, we decided to go to another hotel to enjoy the remainder of our trip. Overall, this experience has been disappointing.
So why not five stars? Customer service is a mixed bag; at times it’s great, but at other times it’s downright terrible. I was on a call when my cell phone died, and unfortunately, I had left my USB charger behind. I called the front desk to ask if I could buy a charger or if someone could lend me one until I could get it replaced. I explained that I only needed it for about an hour. I waited for over 15 minutes, only to be told that the hotel couldn’t assume that responsibility. Then I was instructed to speak to the manager, but I ended up waiting another 15 minutes, and the manager never showed up. In the end, my phone died during the call, so I had to leave my meeting and head to a gift shop to buy a single USB charger. Customer service was a disappointment, plain and simple. If only their service was as good as the beauty of the hotel!
When we returned from getting food, the staff had already fixed the curtain and the suite was freshly tidied up with new bed linens, towels, and amenities—this happened about three hours later. Parking in the garage costs $5. The suite was spacious, cozy, and comfortable. While it didn’t come with a microwave, there was a hair dryer available. One thing to note is that, as mentioned in other reviews, the smoking and non-smoking areas of the casino are quite close together; even if you’re seated in the non-smoking section, the smell of smoke can still be quite strong. Additionally, some of the restaurants and buffets are closed on weekdays, so it's a good idea to check their hours in advance.
