Once known as a great neighborhood restaurant with fabulous food, live music, and a wonderful vibe, Venkman's has faced mixed reviews after a remodeling that some feel has destroyed the essence of the place. Some customers have been disappointed with the menu and quality of dishes, while others have praised the tasty food and friendly service. The live entertainment, particularly the house band playing jazz, has received high praise, as well as the inviting atmosphere of the old-world Italian restaurant. With a range of opinions on the food, service, and ambiance, Venkman's seems to offer a mixed dining experience that may appeal more to some guests than others depending on personal tastes and preferences.
We were a group of lively, fun-loving women, and the staff treated our requests and silliness with such grace. Thank you for a wonderful evening! The food was delicious. The drinks were a bit on the small side and pricey, but the music was fantastic.
The food is fantastic and the live music is enjoyable, but it gets too loud when they have any entertainment.
The service and food are outstanding! It's great for everyday dining, but the addition of music during brunch made it the perfect setting for a birthday celebration.
I absolutely love Venkman’s! It’s such a charming spot, and they host a fantastic jazz jam every Wednesday night from 7 to 10, led by Joe Gransden. The atmosphere is delightful. As a singer, I can’t say enough good things about the sound system—it's top-notch, 10 out of 10! The volume and tone are just perfect, making it incredibly enjoyable and therapeutic to sing there. If you're looking for a relaxed evening with great people, I highly recommend visiting Venkman’s. Just a note: during the Wednesday night jam, they only serve drinks at the bar, but you’re welcome to bring your own food if you’d like!
It used to be a fantastic neighborhood restaurant, known for its delicious food, live music, and inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, after the remodel, the vibe, the food, and the sense of community were lost. Now, it feels more like a sad music venue than the charming spot it once was.
