This place is perfect! Great food, great drinks, ambience is wonderful. Cozy and quiet, even the live music is nice and not too loud. An experience not to be missed if you have the chance!! View all feedback.

What asdf dislikes about Trader Vic's:
Our server took 40 min to even greet us at our table for a drink order and was visibly annoyed at us for attempting to flag him down. He got our orders correct, but had a very bad attitude throughout the entire meal, snide comments included. Even as a low-maintenance group of 5, every request we made was an annoyance to him it seemed. I'm not sure what we did to tick him off but it was the worst service I've every ex... I have been hearing about The Vic's for years and have been a few times now, so decided to write a review. I like that it's never too packed or busy

My rating is for their drinks, we did not try their foodThey create perfectly balanced, fruity and refreshing tropical drinks a person could ask for.

I've come here a couple of times with a fairly large group of peopleMany of whom are regulars and who know the staff by name.

The waiter was friendly and professional, but had too many tables. The food was salty and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. He used to enjoy this place, but will probably not be back now.

Our family of 6 had a really fabulous dinner because we were lucky enough to have the private room. It was the perfect setting for the last night of our vacation. We come back every year and only eat dinner at Tucci Benucch on the last evening of our trip. It has become a family tradition. We love the bread sticks with delicious olive oil, the wine prices are reasonable, and there are Italian wines on the list. The food is delicious and the portions are big. Our server was really great too!

This Atlanta restaurant has a mix of reviews, with some diners enjoying the experience while others were left disappointed. Customers have mentioned the unique ambiance and delicious drinks as highlights of the establishment. However, issues such as slow service, cold food, and dim lighting have been noted by others. Overall, the restaurant seems to offer a nostalgic dining experience with potential for improvement in certain areas.

Really cool ambiance, and amazing drinks. A fun throwback to elevated dining from a different era. Tiffany was our server and she took great care of us. We came for the drinks, which were amazing, but the combination of great tiki drinks, service, and distinct food will bring us back again soon!

Service was fantastic attentive without being intrusive. Appetizers and entrees were very good. I would have preferred the salmon a little more flavorful/spicy but it was very good. Drinks were excellent. I had a Mai Tai and a Zombie and thoroughly enjoyed both. Ambience was unbelievable just the right decorations, atmosphere, and music for a fantastic (if faux) Polynesian experience. Would definitely go again.

The ambiance and decor at Trader Vic's are truly remarkable, and the food is outstanding. I tried the teriyaki-glazed pork chop, and it was among the best I've ever had.

It was a great experience. Since we were in a rush, the waitress told us the fastest options on the menu. They were perfect.

The food was quite pricey and lacked flavor, but the unique decor and vibrant atmosphere enhanced the experience. After adding salt and Sriracha, the dishes improved significantly. Overall food rating: 3/5.

Trader Vics is one of our favorite restaurants. We travel to Atlanta and stay in that specific hotel mainly because of Trader Vics. They still maintain the tradition and quality that they are known for. The food is always amazing, and the tiki drinks are tremendously fun.

A real bummer. The lack of staff really sank our visit. Our waiter seemed to be trying his best with the hand he was dealt. The drinks were good, once they eventually arrived. The food, however, was cold and took a long time to arrive. We ended up noteating a good chunk of it. We all remarked at how empty the location was, considering how crowded the rest of the hotel appearedto be, and as the evening wore on and we waited for our drinks and food, we were able to understand why. Unfortunately, theywere remarkably out of stock of nearly every mug on the menu as well. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and wanted to love theexperience and I'm glad I was able to visit this one time... But I don't think another visit is necessary.

Great cocktails and food. A nostalgic place, but we enjoyed it a lot! Our server Sam was very good and took time to explain the drinks dishes! Highly recommend!

Once upon a time, Trader Vic's locations were scattered across America, but now there are only three left. This place? It’s a must-visit destination. It feels like a Tiki-powered time machine, brimming with surf guitar music, reverb, Theremins, and, of course, plenty of rum. It’s a bucket-list Tiki bar and a true institution. You can indulge in a bowl of delightful, boozy concoction and enjoy some long straws to share with your friends. How amazing is that? Let’s talk history. This spot first opened in the basement of the Hilton in 1976, and the décor has remained unchanged ever since. It’s the last bar that Vic Bergeron himself had a hand in designing, showcasing a full mid-century Tiki kitschy chic vibe. In other words, it’s fantastic! The signature cocktail, the Peachtree Punch, is a creation of Vic himself. And let’s be real—when discussing Tiki bars, the Mai Tai inevitably comes up, and Trader Vic is credited with inventing it! That said, even though Trader Vic's is a delightful Tiki haven, it’s still a hotel restaurant, which means it’s prone to the typical inconsistencies found in such establishments. Yes, the food can be overpriced and occasionally bland. At times, that Mai Tai might lean more towards mix than craft. But honestly, who cares? The bartenders are still incredibly friendly and talented. Here’s the thing: Trader Vic’s may not be the best Tiki bar in town—that title goes to S.O.S. in Decatur—but that doesn’t take away from its significance. This place is the grandaddy of Tiki bars, unique to Atlanta, and a homage to classic Polynesian pop culture. They don’t make places like this anymore, and that's what truly matters.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. It has a charming 60s vibe that really stands out. The staff's service and friendliness are exceptional, unlike anything I've experienced before. The drinks are amazing, the food is flawless, and the atmosphere is truly remarkable. I can hardly believe that a place like this still exists today!

There's something truly unique about a tiki bar! Situated in the Hilton and just a short walk from the Marriott Marquis, this place is a must-visit. Be careful, though—they make a seriously strong Mai Tai. After all, Trader Vic's is the birthplace of the Mai Tai!
