I absolutely adore the Angler's Club. The high-quality food, drinks, and service never disappoint. The seared scallops were cooked perfectly, with a wonderful sear and just the right level of doneness. The espresso crusted buffalo loin was also exceptional, cooked to a spot-on medium rare and complemented perfectly by the coffee flavor. What Deb K doesn't like about The Angler's Club:
The service at the restaurant was excellent, but the wait staff did forget a few things. The ambiance was decent, but the chairs were uncomfortable and the music was too loud. Unfortunately, our meals were overcooked, the steaks were tough, and the vegetables were either mushy or tough. The dj played great music and the foods and drinks were delicious.
The air conditioning system must work. because the place is filled, the fans did not work. it was hard to enjoy that he food due to the heat. we were three times in the restaurant, and the last two times, the air conditioning has not worked. with the open garage door we had to exchange a fly away from eating and table. as a family we want to eat together. every time we were in the restaurant, it wouldn't come together. Every time I was ready to eat before we all had a plate.
The food was decent, but the dessert (key-cold cake) was oily, they were made of two things that we demanded to growers and mango cakes. the restaurant has no air conditioning, or so it felt, so it is very hot inside. we told the waitress, but she said there was nothing she could do because they had the thermostat as high as possible. (our dresses were shattered in sweat)
The third visit to the greenhouse and the quality of food and services have declined during each visit. I wouldn't recommend it.
I was here for my Birthday Day it was great! We had brunch and the shrimp and grits were divine. We also came back that night for drinks it was a HIT!!! Will be coming back. Love the Rum Punch!
