Contribute FeedbackPark Tavern offers a mixed experience according to recent patrons. While the covered patio is dog-friendly but noisy, the lack of table service and confusing reservation process left some feeling disappointed. However, others found the atmosphere wonderful, with friendly staff, good food, and entertaining events. The venue appeals to active groups, families, and even individuals looking for a drink with a view. Despite some concerns over service and reservation systems, Park Tavern seems to have something for everyone, from families enjoying Wednesday drag nights to individuals looking to unwind with a cocktail and scenic views.
My wife left me for her receptionist on a hot summer Friday night in Atlanta. I was visiting from out of town and was staying close to here. I decided to clear my head and order an ice cold strong vodka soda to cure my sorrows. The service was impeccable (shoutout to Carly and Jen) as I drank and looked at the scenic views of midtown. I even met my new girlfriend here. Cheers.
I was going through a big breakup with my boyfriend of 5 years, walked in on him cheating on me. It’s the lowest point of my life, but luckily I met Jae at the bar, she is the best bartender. She consulted me on how I should cope and kept poring me tequila shots to cope with my break up. Thank you Jae I’m better now!Food: 5/5
Park Tavern has been a favorite place of mine being friends from out of town to enjoy Atlanta. Food is always great (recommend the wings) and Jae, Carly and Jen are the best bartenders.Food: 5/5
This place is the best for families. “Wednesday nights are a drag” is the highlight of my families week. The food is top notch and the people are amazing. I take my kids there every week!Kid-friendliness: They are very kid friendly with giant connect for and access to the park. The queen treat every kid like a prince or princess and my kids feel so celebrated there.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy long wheel chair ramp to get into the tavern and plenty of the room inside to move a wheelchair around.
After all my years in Atlanta I finally had the chance to experience Park Tavern. After a day in the park, I told my friends I wanted wings. They advised that the wings at Park Tavern were good and we should go. Of course I am always game for trying new places, thus we walk across the grass and into the Tavern.Immediately upon walking in I am in awe of the amount of space, this establishment does not look this big from the outside. However, it is hugeeeeeeeeeee!!! As the weather was beautiful and the atmosphere on the covered patio was vibrant, we decided to sit in that area.Park Tavern has a almost “Self-Serve” kind of setup and I love it. You go to the bar to place your order. Upon placing your order they take your cell number as they may text you when your food is ready to be picked up. Once you receive the text which states “This is Park Tavern! Your food is ready!” you head to the second bar and pick up your order, grab your utensils and condiments and head back to your seat. This flow works so well and is to the benefit of myself as a customer as well as the establishment as a whole. With the staff shortages that are plaguing the Atlanta area, this model is aligned to work to the benefit of all! (In my personal opinion!)I decided to get the 10 piece wings “Hot” with a side of Tater Tots.Once my food was ready, I immediately went to pick it up. I emphasize the word “immediately” as though there was no delay in my time from advisory of food readiness to pick up, my tater tot’s were already cool. I won’t say cold, however, they were cooler than room temperature but two steps above cold. However, for a non fresh hot tater tot they were still good. I can only imagine how good they would be had they been fresh out the grease. My wings were amazing. Super meaty, well done, and well seasoned. The “Hot” isn’t super hot but has a perfect spicy kick to it that enhances the flavor profile of the wing and seasonings. The wings weren’t too greasy and truly are worth a trip back for another order. LoL!!Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Park Tavern. The bar staff was friendly and all smiles, and the ambiance of the Tavern was very chill and laid back. Perfect spot for a good meal with friends or a laid back date.
