Sadly, the food didn’t impress us as much as the Oceanaire in Baltimore MD Salads were extremely overdressed and oily; the salmon terribly undercooked. When I initially ordered, I requested it for it not to be rare or pink. Unfortunately that was how it was served. Then requested it to be cooked more, the server basically shamed me into not ordering properly-“next time you should order it Medium”. Hmmm, that’s what I... View all feedback.
What Rigoberto Tremblay doesn't like about Oceanaire Seafood Room - Atlanta:
The service was excellent, food was delicious, but seemed quite overpriced. My salmon was simply grilled with lemon juice was It came with nothing else. All sides were not or as they are at comparable restaurants, but I would recommend restaurant, but with warning of the expense of eating there. View all feedback.
Excellent selection of beers, reliably delicious food and great service. If you don't have a reservation, it's usually easy to secure a spot at the bar for a full dining service. A neighborhood favorite.
The drinks were good. Menu is limited. One person did not like the pork. The other thought the pastrami ribs were fat and of no value. The burger was good. Though very energetic, it's not really a place for $ 30 starters - much looser. Stick with the burger and a cocktail or beer.
The ambience and the service were really great. I thought the menu items were unique compared to other similar restaurants, which I appreciated. However, nobody blew my socks off.
I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great.
The food was good, but it was quite pricey compared to other restaurants of similar caliber. Additionally, there were no complimentary items provided. Overall, I was not particularly impressed.
