I love going there after work because it's very quiet and picturesque. The food is consistently delicious. It's a great place to gather with friends since you can easily hear each other. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mirage Persian Cuisine:
We've dined at Mirage in the past and have always been satisfied; good, solid food and service. On this visit the food was consistently good but service not so good. The restaurant was not busy and even though the waiter could see we were a group of friends catching up he hurried us to order even after we'd already ordered appetizers for the table. Waiter came to our table about 5 times within a 10 minute period to t... View all feedback.
The food was just OK! Would have asked for some yogurt/labneh if I could have gotten the servers attention. There are several Persian type restaurants in the area and so I would probably go elsewhere next time. This one happens to be the closest to my house. Due to the lack of server attentiveness, (I couldn't get a 2nd glass of wine ordered so I gave up . The restaurant wasn't even half full??? My veg Kabab dinner was just ok. I didn't enjoy be seated next to a baby on my date night either. Child had a noise maker toy to play with during the entire dinner. We should have asked to move and I'll own that.
If you like or want to try Persian food, this is a great place to start. Definitely have the Kashk o 'bademjoon appetizer, a creamy and delectable eggplant spread. Enjoy the bread with butter and herbs that comes to every table. Other appetizers are good, too. The stuffed grape leaves are delicious, or try the tahdig, a crispy plate of rice from the bottom of the pot . Kabobs are excellent all meat is so tender and deliciously seasoned. Don 't miss one of the special rice dishes almonds and orange peel and raisins, oh my! They make lamb shank 3 ways, all succulent. The stews are also very tasty. Try the sumac on the table in a shaker bottle, especially on the grilled tomatoes or anything that needs a little citrus y tang. Service can be a little cursory, but the food more than makes up for it, but if you need something and speak up, it will always be provided.
I dined with a group of six. The servers were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Only coming is that the service was super slow especially the wait for the bill.
I had the falafel salad.. I was disappointed that there were only 2 falafel balls in the salad
The stuffed grape leaves are delicious, as is the eggplant appetizer with their wonderful bread. I love the chicken kabobs with their special rice with berries. The stew with chicken and pomegranate sauce is a favorite. The service can be hit or miss. Be aware that if you make a reservation through Open Table they won't honor any coupons.
