You just know to make big ribs and rib tips. It will take a while to get your food if you order a lot, but it is worth it when you eat it. I've been here since 1986. What User doesn't like about J Js Rib Shack:
The young lady and older lady at the desk were really nice while we waited. I called in my order, waited an hour, drove there and waited an hour. The food was really good first, but a few hours later I became very sick together with my colleague. We both had food poisoning. That could have been just one because they are usually really good. I was here before it was burned down. And the trick is to come as soon as they want to open and wait so long. I've been waiting for my food for three hours and I'm still going to love the food.
The BBQ is on point That being said customer service and preparedness is not their strong suit. Placed and order at 3:30 on Saturday, they said two hours. Two hours later they were out of ribs, chicken, potatoes salad. Come back Sunday no waiting. Return Sunday did have to wait, but not long. But they were still out of chicken and potato salad. They had my ribs tips so I was a happy camper they didn't disappoint. Know to bring patience and get thre early.
I've been in this restaurant three times and manage to leave every time dude to excessive Wait times people came in after me and got plates while I waited ... another customer became irate waiting on her food....over three hours and still don't eat....DO NOT visit this place if you are in a complete rush...but hey what can I say?? The food must be awesome if people are willing to wait there that long ?
While the food is ok used to be a lot better) management shows no respect for customers times. Usually take several hours, I think because relatives and friends are Allowed to go out back and have their orders filled, while those inside are made to wait. Who wants to spend a whole Saturday waiting. Nothing is that good. I am thru waiting.
