I visited the restaurant with a friend and had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent and worth the wait. Although we missed our reservation, the staff was very accommodating and still found a way to seat us. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Escobar Restaurant And Tapas:
I've been reflecting on my experience. I've been following Escobar on Instagram, and it definitely looked like the perfect place for a celebration. So, a group of us took a ride there to celebrate my birthday, but we ended up being disappointed. Unfortunately, the service and the food did not meet our expectations. Such a letdown! Not as expected. We arrived 9pm the place had a light crowd, lots of free tables. We had a rsvp but waited 25 min to be seated, another 25 min for drink and food order to be taken as we watched out waitress hang with the table next to us. The food came fast, but was salty. The music was good, the place needs a refresher on look and feel. The blinds were dirty, the air smelled stale. I had high hopes.
Only go to this place on the weekend. I went in June during a Sunday brunch and it was a whole vibe. I loved the atmosphere and there was a live DJ. Also the food and mimosas were good. But this time I were during a week day and it was a big no for me. The food wasn’t good. There was a server who fell asleep during her shift after her table got up and left. The bathroom walls had holes in it and the floor was slippery.
No need for reservations because the only way you can sit down in the place is if you buy a bottle and nothing is under $100 bucks. You also have to pay to get in so it’s like a club so if your looking for something cozy or romantic this is not the place.
It’s really not a restaurant. We made reservations for 8:15. When we arrived music was so loud you couldn’t think, we were checked by security at the door like the club. I waited for like 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the “hostess” when i told her i had a reservation she told me in order to sit down at a table my group would have to purchase a bottle of liquor for $338 or we could stand at the bar for free. No where online did i read anything about this. What is the point of a reservation if you’re told you have to stand or buy a bottle. We came just to try the food but i wasn’t going to spend $338 and then pay for food so we left and went somewhere else. A lot of people were coming in and leaving after being told the same thing as me. It shouldn’t be listed as a restaurant because it’s definitely just a club that serves food. I can only imagine how much business is lost by requiring people to spend $338 as they walk through the door. We could have easily spent way over that amount on just food and single drinks had we been seated.
My reservations were not honored . I was still told it would be a hour wait
