I 've only ever ordered takeout from here the food is incredibly yummy! I always get the garlic eggplant w/ chicken and this time I added bok choy. The portion is pretty decent, though, it 's a wee bit pricey. With the added chicken and bok choy, it came out to $15 pre tax and tip. BUT LOOK AT HOW YUMMY IT LOOKS. What Tee S doesn't like about Doc Chey's Noodle House Memorial Dr:
The food lacked flavor and was quite disappointing. Ordering from here felt like a waste of time and money. I've enjoyed excellent Asian cuisine before, but this definitely did not meet those standards. View all feedback.
Anyone ever heard of parentsplaining ? It 's when a parent on social media talks down to you about your life strategy, with the assumption that there 's some existential quality to life that you could not possibly understand unless you had also reproduced yourself.Anyway, I 'm not going to do that. I do have kids though, and they are cute, and they do provide a little stress from time to time. They are good eaters; I can haul them all over this town and they will get down with most restaurants in the ATL. Most places I 've reviewed here, they have accompanied me (except the date nights, amright? .Doc Chey 's is especially good for my fam. They are just so darn friendly. My location is in Grant Park, on Memorial by the cemetery. There 's an adequate, free parking garage. Upon entry, place your order at the desk from a manageable menu; food comes out super fast. They have been really successful (I think in providing a pan-Asian casual experience that manages to be inexpensive and fresh-tasting. You know what I mean by that, there 's a classic Americanized Chinese style for example that is known by sweet, gloppy sauces and excessive salt. That is not the story here, as their massive takeout business on this side of town well attests. In Doc Chey 's case, the food comes out blazing hot, and the flavors always seem to sing a little. This visit, I ordered a nice Spicy Thai Basil (pictured ; it came with a generous bed of noodles, tossed in a nice garlicky sauce with some basil pesto on top. Shrimp and peppers were tossed into the bowl. My kids nibbled on some more accessible noodle dishes that slip my memory right now, and were happy to do it.Sidenote, there is a decent local beer selection and there are frequent specials. Korean Taco Tuesday comes to mind. This place is beloved, and I 'm delighted they made it through the pandemic.
Was disappointed in the food! Wish it was more authentic and less greasy. And had more flavor.
It wasn't clear from the menu what could be made vegan, but the staff were knowledgeable and helped me put together a meal of rice noodles, veggie, fried tofu, and their vegetarian Cantonese sauce, which is vegan. It came out pretty quickly. It was salty, and I wish it had more vegetables, but I liked it. I could make something better at home, but it was nice to try.

Tastes so good too the veggies are fresh, the flavor is spot on, and it comes with a generous amount of rice. Entrees are always packed in good quality plastic containers which is a plus. Everytime our office orders from DCs, other people will ask where did you get that?? . DCs is always a hit!
Thai coconut soup cup and Beef Garlic Eggplant. Visited from Orlando and had a tasty experience. If I lived here this would be my spot!!!
