The restaurant has a classic charm that transports you back in time, and the flavors match that nostalgic vibe. If you’re in the mood for some comforting classic dishes, this is definitely the spot for you. Just be sure to check their opening hours before you go, as the venue is frequently rented out for film and TV productions. View all feedback.
Great comfort food. Really good! Excellent old school service. Odd crowd right out of a Coen movie. Serious cocktails. Best fried chicken dinner, better than the Busy Bee or Mary Macs! IMHO. Welllll, maybe not better but surprisingly good.
GREAT place to go if you want southern cooking and strong drinks!!
Social distancing measures were in place, and I have to commend the restaurant for both the quality of the food and the service. Their roasted chickens are truly among the best I've ever had. Even if you don't try anything else, make sure to order the fried chicken — you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the rest of the menu as well!

The food and service at this restaurant were exceptional. The fish dishes were particularly impressive, and while the green and black eyebrows had excellent flavor, the portion sizes were quite small. The mixed drinks were also very enjoyable. However, it's worth noting that they do not accept American Express and do not offer a military discount. With nearly 100 years in business, the atmosphere feels reminiscent of a home-cooked meal from your mother's kitchen. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.
