City Winery Atlanta Barrel Room Restaurant

I like the venue and variety of artists that play here. However, I will never dine here again. The service was very slow and the food wasn’t a all they great especially for the prices. Also, the menu needs more variety. I recommend the wine/cocktails and the concerts. Pass on the food here. Our wait staff were very friendly but the kitchen can’t keep up with guests dining in the restaurant and the guests attending concerts.

Many of the many options featured fried foods. The wine by the glass menu was anemic. It was a decent atmosphere. Wait staff were nice and informed about the menu. Just found the food less than stellar and even small for small plates. Maybe for a concert but not for dinner. Bar scene was a snooze fest. Empty. It was my bday ugh.

We had an appetizer night. Started with the hummus with pickled vegetables. Very good and an ample portion. Next, Risotto balls, bruchetta, meatballs and brussels sprouts. All were very good but the brussel sprouts stole the show. Unfortunately, our server was less then attentive. I don't recall her checking on us during our entire meal and when it came for the check she disappeared. We had to get he check from another server.

I like City Winery for its entertainment and ambience but the food overall continues to disappoint. I’m not exactly finicky but the steak came out two temperatures underdone and was overall a fatty deposit placed upon a plate. A very good glass of Cabernet softened the blow of a less than fair meal; good table service as well but the food choices continue to give me pause; like eat before you see the show. Thank you.

This was my first visit to Atlanta, Georgia. Came here for a team dinner and this place is truly amazing! The staff… food… atmosphere… wine… everything was truly remarkable! Our hostess Niyah and the manager Ellery was amazing! Great service! You guys rock! Thank you Niyah for the recommendations!!! And being so kind and understanding when I ordered the wrong item
