Description

A visit to Malacca Corner in Adelaide's Central Market offers a varied dining experience, with mixed reviews from customers. While some found the food to be lacking in taste and quality, others praised the diverse selection of Malaysian dishes at affordable prices. Those who enjoyed their meals recommended trying the laksa, Captain Chicken Curry, and Poh Piah. The service was noted to be friendly and efficient, making it a convenient spot for a quick meal. While some diners may find better options in the area, Malacca Corner continues to attract customers seeking value for money and authentic Malaysian cuisine in a casual setting.

I have eaten here a couple of times now and the food is just okay, considering the price. Had the Captain chicken curry, pretty good flavours. Had the combination laksa, pretty disappointing. I know this is market food, but to find baby gnaff prawns in the stock was a bit of a surprise! I mean, we are talking 1970’s avocado filling size prawns! Stock was nice enough. There is a lot of competition in the central market, maybe they could step it up a bit. Service is very friendly, food comes out quickly, probably wouldn’t return as there are better food places.

The Hokkien Mee soup was not very good, pretty tasteless. My wife is from Penang, so I'm used to Penang hokkien mee which has pork and egg, and much tastier.

The definition of Malaysian cuisine. Been here multiple times and never cease to impress! Malacca corner sets a benchmark for all Asian fast/takeaway with the quality of food and services. I'm quite a picky person but they can alway cater to my needs! Would recommend this for everyone including families with kids for both takeaway and dining in

Favourite Laksa. It seems the best cheap-eats in Adelaide have the most stark decor, and Malacca Corner is no exception. Their headhunter laksa is possibly the tastiest in Adelaide, and it comes in a large bowl. You can sit out in the market for some people-watching, but the peripheral location of the venue ensures it's not too busy outside.

Best Value, Best Taste. LOVE IT!. I am actually in love with this place. This is one of the very rare food experiences that you will encounter in Adelaide where you have all the essentials covered:<br/ <br/ (1) Great tasting, authentic cuisine;<br/ (2) Exceptional value for money; and<br/ (3) Welcoming staff who all have a genuine desire to provide good service.<br/ <br/ My favourite dish is the combination Kway Teow, a generous serving of chicken, prawns, flat noodles, bean sprouts, wok tossed in a signature sauce. The Laksa is always a winner, too.<br/ <br/ Oh, and Titi O San, I'm not sure which Malacca Corner you're referring to, because my experience over the past years at Malacca Corner has always been a great one!
