Carrington Restaurant - Atherton

Ordered the pork belly. It was burnt and I could barely cut through it as it was way overcooked and the meat was tough. Rice was undercooked and the greens inedible. Terrible and a waste of money. Could not even eat it.

3rd time I've had to wait around whilst others eat the whole plate before even receiving mine. Food is bang average and prices are high for the quality. Only reason you see people in there is because Atherton had NOTHING else to offer this more deserved town.

Ate here yesterday during our twelve-day anniversary trip to the Tablelands, courtesy of having read great previous reviews about it having generous portion sizes and never bad food. I have to say I would agree! My 500gm Sirloin was yummy and cooked beautifully. The food was impressive. My chocolate milkshake was a treat. The choc mud cake dessert with ice cream and cream was a dream. What topped it all off however was the wonderful service from both Allegra and Aly, who were friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and a pleasure. We recommend The Carrington Hotel without reservation! We loved it so much we have come back here now for dinner and in front of me is a gorgeous plate of chicken schnitzel with avocado, mozzarella and more, with chips and salad. Am trying the passion fruit cheesecake dessert today. My honey loved yesterday’s Chef’s Salad sooo much that she’s having another as I write this, followed by a GF Caramel Slice. This is now a favourite place and sets the bar for pub food. It’s a pity we live so far South and are only visiting this beautiful part of the world! Bill Leanne).

Staff member I dealt with organised, friendly , switched on and willing to go above and beyond . The catering for our family function was really late In one call the Carrington were willing to organise some food and the taxi to deliver it .

Wonderful service, tasty meals, nice atmosphere will definitely be back again! Lunch specials were great value for money, big portions
