Wildwood Deli - Athens

First-time visitors tried the recommended Philly cheesesteak and the Reuben sandwich. Adding blue cheese to the steak is worth the extra dollar. The toasted grilled breads were cooked perfectly. The meats were tender, although the steak was almost perfect but for one large, raw and inedible chunk. Despite this, we plan to revisit and try other items on the menu.

I enjoyed a glass of red wine on a Friday night while attending an open air concert at this busy restaurant. The aromas from the kitchen were overwhelming while getting my wine. Unfortunately, they are closed on weekends. I returned on Monday morning when they opened and tried the Rachel sandwich and another glass of wine - it was excellent! Dinner is only served on Friday nights and I look forward to returning in July to try more items from the dinner menu. The food was delicious and the customer service was good. I have added both menus to Google for others to enjoy. Can't wait to go back!

Food was fair. Staff was rude and unaccommodating. Simple request for the chicken salad to be served on sourdough which was readily available on the counter vs. the standard croissant was met with resistance and refusal. Doesn?t seem like a big ask. Won?t eat here again.

We had an amazing experience at the restaurant last night. The men in our group ordered steaks, while the women ordered shrimp and scallops. When we shared, everyone enjoyed the surf and turf. My steak was cooked perfectly to a medium rare and was incredibly tender. The scallops were also cooked perfectly, sweet, tender, and succulent. The spicy cheese grits and squash medley complemented the meal perfectly. The twin siblings who run that section of the restaurant were fantastic - friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is amazing! The restaurant is clean and welcoming. I brought my mom for the first time and she loved it! We ordered all American cheeseburgers with broccoli salad. Everything was simply excellent in taste. But the heat was perfect on the cheeseburger and every bite kept you coming back for the next bite! This place is great for a nice little getaway for lunch. The price standard and not too high. We will definitely be back ??
