Both my friend and I got the grouper/shrimp special and split the yuzu miso salad. DELICIOUS and so pleasantly light, we will be back many many times for sure !!! One of Athens few high quality restaurants open for lunch on a Monday ????????????
Husband and I have a wonderful time whenever we visit The Table Bistro. Our most recent visit was on a Wednesday afternoon around 12pm, so we knew we were hitting the lunch rush. When we were seated, we were immediately warned that the kitchen wasrunning about 45 minutes behind. I appreciated the upfront warning and let her know we were happy to wait. The food has alwaysbeen worth the wait. Husband always gets the same thing: the coconut and macadamia crusted fish over a bed of rice $15 . I’veenjoyed the fish, but have also liked the crabbed stuffed salmon over rice $19, the flounder almondine over rice $16, and amushroom stuffed dish that I don’t think is on the menu anymore. Whenever the food come, my first thought is always how prettyit is. The presentation is top notch. No food is ever leftover on our plates. The seating area is fairly small. There is oneunisex bathroom, but has always been clean and tidy. There’s a changing table, which I appreciate, but will likely never bringone of my babies here. I’ve always managed to find a parking spot, but I can see if getting filled up easily. The hoursaren’t long, so I would suggest calling to check beforehand. Regardless of any inconveniences to dine here, I don’t hesitateto highly recommend going and thoroughly enjoying yourself.
What a delightful surprise on a recent visit to Athens. We love The National, but this was what was open for lunch on a Monday. And it was just as good. Great service. We sat outside. The grouper special with shrimp, risotto, etc. was to die for. Thesides just perfect. The side salad so much more. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Not visited nearly enough. This place is an extremely lovely family owned restaurant with fantastic food. My favorite in athens for sure! Amazing atmosphere, and extremely caring and personable staff. Worth more than the five stars here. Do yourself afavor and try it out!
This was our second visit to this special small and charming restaurant. Somewhat hidden from the street and near the excellent Home.Made, The Table Bistro is a jewel. Salads and specials are creatively prepared, sandwiches are again creative andwonderful. On my last visit, i ordered Crab Stuffed Salmon and was blown away by the interesting and wonderful dish. Given theKorean ownership most entrees have an asian flair. I would consider the stuffed salmon a $40 dish were it to be found inAtlanta, but more likely would have to visit Charleston for that dish. The place is small and the serving hours are narrow, butif you get there you will not be disappointed. A 4.6 to 5.0 rating on every site on the web. You will not be disappointed(unfortunately no alcohol...but still a 5.0 rating from my perspective) In terms of price, it is likely one of the best in thegreater Athens/Watkinsville area
