As a lifelong New Englander, I recently visited friends and family in the South, and during my stay, I stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant. The staff was exceptional—hardworking and friendly. A dark-haired lady, who was one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered, was particularly attentive and made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting; as someone who tends to be a bit reserve... View all feedback.

Been here a few times in the past 5 years when in town for a bike race. The food is good but our experience has been slow food delivery. I'm not sure this is the fault of the front end staff or the kitchen. I tend to believe the kitchen is slower. Anyway, the price is good and if you're willing to hang out then this is an OK place. This charming little spot is perfect for a burrito. I tried the mega burrito, which is grilled to perfection. I went with chicken, and it had a nice crispy exterior and was incredibly flavorful. The prices are reasonable too. They also have a small bar with a solid selection of local beers. The place has tables and counter seating, along with two large screens and two smaller TVs behind the bar for your viewing pleasure.
Above all, eating is decent, it is quite costly too expensive. the service lacks, however, most of the server we had seemed less than enthusiastic to take our order. a few times tacos are soaked and lukewarm soaked, which is not great. the facility, sitting opportunity and entertainment are quite at the point what is nice when they eat. definitiw to beat this place for a takeout burrito, but do not expect high-class food.
My friends and I stopped by here before going to the Sleep concert at the 40 Watt and we were not disappointed. I got the fried chicken burrito and it was soooooo delicious. The order taker was hilarious: she either was stoned, did not want to be there, or both. Either way, she added to the element of this place. Their bar is minimal, but if you like liquor or beer you should be able to find what you need. All in all, worth a visit and I will come back here again.

I’ve lived in Athens for the past 4 years. I’ve always seen Taco Stand but never had the desire to try it. Should’ve stuck with my instincts.... How are you going to charge $3 for a large cheese dip but only include a handful of chips and THEN charge another $2 for more chips???! These types of things infuriate me. The cashier/bartender was also rude as hell! She made fun of a guy when he walked out for asking for a bag for his ToGo order because he was carrying his child.... There’s countless places in Athens that do this type of food 1,000X better! Don’t bother...
