Never knew this place existed and I live less than two miles away! Read about it on a UGA football message board online and decided to give it a try. The pork was amazing. Extremely tender and flavorful... The $4 sandwich was a perfect appetizer before my rib plate. Ribs were delicious... Not as tender as the pork, but still very good. Sauce options were simple: Hot or Mild. Went with Hot and it was a good choice. Just a little bit of kick but not flaming/overpowering... Several side options: co
Absolutely fantastic food with excellent portion sizes! The sides were delicious and we tried nearly every single one. Baked beans, mac and cheese, collards, potato salad, cornbread, and a killer hash. The great food combined with friendly and hospitable staff solidifies a 5 star rating. Went over just for the Hash, and I was not disappointed. It was thick and very flavorful. There were only two ladies working at the time and they were very friendly we had a nice conversation while I was there. I've not had anything else there, but if the Hash is any indication, I'm guessing everything else is just as good.
This place is great, food is wonderful as are the people that work there! Heard about this place while watching a show on SEC Network and it is as good as they made it sound on the show! Will definitely be back!
WOW! I have passed this place hundreds of times through the years, unfortunately, I never stopped. What a tragedy. We ordered the sampler plate. Overall very tasty. Spicy sauce had the right amount of heat, with lots of flavor. Potato salad was super good. Having said all that, the ribs are the best I have had, since moving to Georgia, 27 years ago!
