Absolutely delicious food. The Ethiopian coffee was some of the best black coffee I have ever had. The Spiced tea was so aromatic, absolutely amazing and warmed me from the inside out. The food itself was so flavorful, the chicken was falling off the bone. Each veggie side was a star. Definitely a hidden gem in Athens and a new favorite of mine. Would recommend to anybody wanting to try mouth watering, filling, authentic international food. All in all spent around $30 after tip with two people,
Fantastic! Amazing food, full of flavor, great price, great portions. Left feeling full and satisfied with a warmth in the belly like I just left grandma's house. Patron this place because it's the real deal.
Many vegan options for the Ethopian food. The Injera bread is spot on and fresh. We ordered take out and extra Injera. The large vegetable dishes had enough food for two meals.
I tried the small 3-item veggie plate for $7.25 at Mannaweenta, with a large plate option available for just $2 more—enough to easily feed two people. You can choose three different vegetable dishes to accompany your meal, which comes with either rice or a large pancake called injera. All three items I selected were delicious. The menu clearly lists the ingredients for each dish. Although I was initially worried about the jalapeños in some dishes, the food was not spicy at all. I would definitely return to this restaurant. Please note that as of January 28, 2021, they are only offering take-out, despite having a dining area.
