Las Trjas Cantina - Athens

The first time in this place. Cleanliness really impressed us, then the fantastic service finally got us the food and we had to get takeout boxes that we could not finish all the food we ordered. Yes, the prices are a little high, but you get what you pay. The food was amazing that we definitely come back. P.s management even politely went by to make sure that all our expectations were tasting as it was definitely!

On our trip back to the Shoals of Huntsville, we decided to dinner in Las Trojas in Athens. It was our first time here. Overall we were satisfied. It was not too crowded, the service was fast and friendly, and we liked the atmosphere. While the food was very good, I must be honest and say it seemed overpriced. Perhaps food is simply more expensive in the area of Athens/Huntsville/Madison compared to the Shoals, but on average we pay about $5 less per dish in our usual restaurant. We ordered the carnitas, bean taco salad, small cheese dipping, a soda, and a tea and the sum came to $39.30 top $5.70 if it is important). Would we eat here again? Yeah, absolutely, but I know next time I can order a little easier on the wallet or just wait until we get home.

The food was wonderful. You give big portions, so you'll be full when you're done. I must say they are excellent in customer service. Never let the drinks run out and continue to check our family until we left the door. Perfect night!

Stopped at lunch special, the food was pretty good, the service could definitely have been better, but give it the advantage of doubt, provided it was the only server at that time. But with what is said, the only thing that was bothered me when I paid with a $50 bill and I didn't even get an entrance back, but the original ticket with correct change. I had to go back to work and didn't even take too much time to get the right reception. I just got on the wrong way.

I was very pleased with the serves and the food was so satisfying I had a plate that had steak, chicken breast, shrimp and chorizo topped on it. The meat was cooked just right it was juicy, soft and shrimp was perfect. Beans also were cooked with a great taste. The second plate was a stew with shrimp and crab legs served with a side of rice, jalapenos, cilantro and onion absolutely delicious. Our server was also polite, friendly and on his toes. The place is over all very attractive inside. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to visit again when I visit Athens.
