Kelly's Jamaican Foods - Athens

I recently relocated here from Buffalo, NY, and I can confidently say that this restaurant offers the best food in Athens, no contest! The staff is fantastic—extremely polite and genuinely Jamaican, which adds to the authenticity of the experience. I truly appreciate the delicious food and excellent communication. I ordered two plates, and my partner loved his meal too!

I picked up some jerk chicken, spicy coleslaw, and plantains, and each was delicious in its own way. The jerk chicken and coleslaw were among the spiciest I’ve ever tasted, so if you enjoy hot Jamaican cuisine, this is the spot for you. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They have plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors, but currently, the food is for pickup only. You might be able to sit in the spacious covered area outside; however, we were in a hurry and didn’t stay. The place was bustling with customers during the Fourth of July week, which shows it has made quite an impression on the Athens crowd.

Coming from a Jamaican I am very disappointed in this food, I had lunch and the quality of the food isn’t great. Options weren’t available as were listed on the menu at lunch time, my food wasn’t shared with love. And the it’s OVER PRICED. I ate it cause I paid my money. So disappointing

Great service!! I just was not a huge fan of the food. Not my thing but I've heard others love it!
