Caroline was incredibly kind and helpful to our family, especially to our son Daniel, who has autism. She engaged him in conversation about lizards, which is his favorite topic, and his face lit up with joy. It was the calmest and happiest I have seen him in a public place in a long time. Used to go here a lot and it was so good! When they first opened, I couldn't get enough! But I just went back for lunch and even though we were the only two people in the restaurant we had very little service. The food was disappointing, especially in comparison to my past experiences with this restaurant. My salad was okay, but the pork was bland and mushy. This is my top choice for Mexican food in Athens! The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.
The staff at this restaurant were incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent! Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
We first arrived on the 26th of September. Under the pale moonlight, the rain casted a shadow onto the wet, dreary cement.The night was heavy and dark, however, our spirits were illuminated by the only star still visible: Iguanas Mexican Grill.Just like the sailors of yonder, we pointed at the horizon, challenged the elements, and found a clearer sky within it.The doors opened and we were greeted by the succulent aroma that filled our hearts and our lungs. We couldn’t believe it.“Do you smell that” I asked the navigator“It’s the reward of a long day” they replied. They were right.Although only worth 10.5 coins, it was worthy of so much more—the bounty was unmeasurable.“Eureka!” I exclaimed, as I laid gaze upon the carrier containing our treasure.Little did I know, that chest was worth it’s weight in goldThank you Iguanas for preparing this meal.I will not forget.
Always love this place and been here so many times! Highly recommend chunky guacamole, tacos, and Cubano sandwich!
Iguanas is easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in Athens. Fresh food, and their new margaritas are incredible!
