Hook Reel Cajun Seafood - Athens

A great seafood place in Athens. I ordered the shrimp basket with a side of clam chowder soup. The soup was really good, hot, and fresh. The fried shrimps' batter is perfect, and perfectly golden. Portion size is good. I would also recommend ordering other seafood options as they looked appealing. Will definitely come again whenever in Athens.

The staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I got the fried calamari and it was perfectly cooked. The cook knows what they're doing because the calamari was the most tender I've ever had. Not rubbery at all, crispy batter, fresh clean taste. Dining area is very spacious and cozy. There's also a nice outside area to dine.

Nice clean place. Friendly staff. This is more of boil restaurant. We tried fried calamari, flounder basket, crawfish boil. The cajun fries are nicely seasoned and the crawfish boil was flavorful. Will definitely consider coming back.

My husband and I came here today after asking about one of the best places to eat in the area and we were not disappointed. My Cajun chicken sandwich was very good, and my husband loved his reel fish sandwich. The remoulade sauce was a treat. Our server Emily was very attentive and her sweet tea was amazing. We?ll definitely stop by again.

Very tasty! The service was on point. Emily our server was very engaging and friendly. The atmosphere was very inviting and the staff is very friendly. We had a party of 6 and the service was good and timely! A great seafood place in Athens!
