El Arroyo Modern Mexican Kitchen

Met the owners at a local event. I had never eaten in her restaurant, but had heard some good things about her, so I decided to give them an attempt. It did not begin very well, and the service was really not good and taken forever to get our food. The server was new and fought, was three times full and seemed a little confused. The owner stopped to check us and I explained what the situation was right now. Minutes later, our food arrived. A bit later everything was forgotten. This food is AMAZING!!! The reason why it took so long is because they were busy and create each dish when you order it. There's no steam table here. Made from scratch on the Fajitas a las Rocas was from another planet. The whole meal was with the perfect aromas and excellent use of spices. I welcome the cook. FANTASTIC!

Having traveled extensively throughout this great state and having grown up in West Texas while working at several well-known Texas restaurants, I can honestly say this is one of the best places I've ever dined! One standout feature is that they offer sopes on the menu, which is quite rare, and they serve them with huitlacoche (corn smut)—absolutely amazing! The street tacos are locally famous and truly live up to their reputation, taking me back to a journey across the border to Nuevo Progresso with every bite. I can't wait to try more items from their traditional batch menu. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

I had lunch here for the first time today, and I was really impressed. The food and service were fantastic, and I’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone. They also offer delivery and will soon have a space available for meetings. I live in Eustace, and this is hands down the best Mexican food in the county!

The food here is incredible and truly one-of-a-kind for this area. The hot sauce and horchata are must-tries! The staff is exceptionally attentive, and the owner, Marlen, goes above and beyond to make sure every customer is satisfied. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for a wonderful experience—we'll definitely be returning!

We needed some food to feed our family after my son’s graduation. I ordered the combination fajitas to serve 25 guests. The food was hot and ready to go at our pick up time. Our guests loved the food-especially fajitas and salsa. They gave us plenty of food to serve. I highly recommend for catering or for dining at their restaurant!!
