Nestled in a historic home with a rustic ambiance, this beloved brunch spot delivers a diverse menu that caters to various palates. Diners rave about standout dishes like the fried green tomatoes, delectable grits, and the DK scramble, though opinions on the donuts vary. The restaurant also offers gluten-free options, garnering praise for its indulgent flatbreads. While the busy atmosphere can lead to limited seating, the warm service and inviting space encourage community dining. Whether indulging in a hearty breakfast burrito or a tasty take-home meal, this charming eatery promises a delightful experience worth returning for.

We got the vegan pumpkin bread for $2.25, which was perfectly moist and delicious. We got the gluten-free grit bowl with fried tomatoes, goat cheese and red pepper sauce. We added a fried egg for $1. The ingredients definitely made the bowl, because the grits themselves were very bland—nothing to write home about. Good amount of food though. The french toast special was blueberry french toast. It was very sweet and was definitely not enough for a meal, which is why we we were glad we got the potatoes on the side. The DK scramble on flatbread was delicious. It was a good amount of food, though I would have preferred more eggs in it. I was going to get the quiche special (goat cheese, tomatoes and spinach) for my meal, but we decided to get it for the whole table, and I’m glad we did because it wasn’t a whole quiche! It was maybe 1/4 of a quiche, which was not advertised. For $5, that wasn’t worth it. It was nice that I got a free coffee because I’m a teacher. They offer deals for teachers, police officers, firefighters, and others, so make sure to check out their website. The place itself is cute—wooden tables and chairs, art for sale and cute little decorations. One plus was there was not wait for brunch on a Saturday morning! We were all satisfied with our meals, but because some portions were small, I’m giving it 4 stars.

Ordered just their butter chicken for lunch with a side of the soup of the day (tomato). While the chicken could have been a bit more tender, overall, I quite liked how the dish came together. Hope to go back to try some of their other dishes sometime.

Had a change of plans because our original plan/restaurant was closed. We looked for another great place for brunch and this place was listed. Upon arrival we were not too sure what to do. As you walk into the dining area. So we walked through to what looked alot like a bakery set-up (so were are at the right place) and asked how things worked. We ordered our food from the menus that were pointed out and took our flag and picked out a seat. Everything else was pretty much left to us to figure out, although we asked initially. The girls at the front were slightly helpful but not totally. The food was cool. I had the fried green , with egg/cheddar over toast with pimento cheese with pepper jelly. Bae had thr scrambled eggs, potatoes and toast with grits. I will say the grits were to die for! them. If we come back it will be for the grits. Although I loved the fact the place is in an historic area of town. My experience was just okay. Unique place though.

Stopped in today for brunch and this place is just lovely. I got a breakfast burrito and cold brew coffee? the coffee was strong and the burrito was delicious, with the potatoes, eggs, cheese and salsa working perfectly together! If there?s a downside it?sthat there were a lot of other people there and not a ton of seating (but if you don?t wanna wait on a seat, you can get it togo! , but we ended up making friends with some other people when we finally ended up sharing a table so it was all good.Friendly service and a chill atmosphere.

I cannot recommend this restaurant for vegans. Every time I've tried their vegan options, they've been disappointing, primarily consisting of raw tofu along with undercooked peppers and onions wrapped in a tortilla. The three stars are solely for the vegetarian dishes, like the grits and fried tomatoes, which are delicious and definitely worth trying.
