Stopped in here Friday night, 10/20/23 for my first and last time. Had a few drinks and the Delta Catfish meal. The fish was fair, yet the fries and hush puppies appeared to be cooked in old, dirty oil. The hush puppies were so small and burnt, they were inedible. I did not complain to the manager as I was hungry, and we were ready to go. Unfortunately, my wife and I had the dough bites with beer cheese as an appetizer. We both were up all night with bad stomach aches presumably due to bad cheese. Would not recommend this establishment at all.
Unfortunately my husband, son and I walked out today before being seated along with others. While waiting to be seated we saw only two waiters who seemed very stressed, and a very packed dining area with numerous dirty tables. Customers at tables got up and started helping clear and sanitize tables for customers to be able to sit, because the wait staff was so short. Unfortunately this is not the first time we’ve seen short staffing at this restaurant, and long wait times after being seated. It’s very disappointing as we really love this place and food. The waiters are the sweetest, and we can’t stand to watch them run around stressed like they are while we eat. I’ve never seen any management there, but I sure they improve this situation.
Food was just okay. Prices were astronomical!! Dinner for 3 adults and two children ages 3 and 5 cost over $100.00. The place was not busy at all but the wait was about 15 minutes for the table and the waitress coming to take our order must have gone on break just as we sat down because there was an additional wait once we were seated. I know for sure I will never be back.
Delicious catfish! It was perfectly fried with a light batter, and there was plenty of flaky white fish. The dining room was fantastic, featuring numerous TVs. The fish and fries were served hot and fresh right after we placed our order, though we had to wait a few minutes for it to be brought to our table. There were many other items on the menu, all made to order! Our waitress was excellent as well. We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter's birthday!
We sincerely apologize for your experience during your visit. Unfortunately, we had two employees call out that day, which is something we had to manage. The people you saw helping were not customers but family members stepping in until the management arrived. Both owners came as soon as possible to assist, which reflects their commitment to providing great customer service. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance, as your experience and satisfaction, along with that of all our customers, are incredibly important to us.
