I stopped in because they had a lot of positive reviews. The brisket was probably the best I had ever had. It was so rich in flavor without being so drownd in seasoning that you couldn't taste the meat. The baked beans were sweet with bbq sauce and youcould taste the beef in it. The corn fritters were also a treat. View all feedback.
What ckris kinser doesn't like about Big Daddy's Bbq Shack:
Very rude. Reached out to see if they wanted to vend at a upcoming event in their home town of Athens. Before they even knew how many people were going to attend the event or the date they just replied "not interested "and hung up. No explaination just hungup. I was trying to help a local business as there is no vendor fee. Don 't waste your time with these guys. Previously I hadtalked to them in person and they said... View all feedback.
We love BBQ which is one of our first food choices when traveling. We had an early supper while passing through the state. We were starved when we arrived. Restaurant staff were friendly, welcoming and awesome. BBQ flavoring is a preference and though this style/flavor was not our first choice, it was satisfactory as were the side orders. We were comfortable eating here. It would be fine for families. It is a casual, down to earth place. Give them a try. We were glad to find them.
I got the whole Slab of ribs…..They were the best ribs I have eaten in the past 10 years are longer……The meat was so tender and Delicious…..I would recommend it to anyone….. I also got some Big Daddy Fries, which are a meal by themselves….. Everyone should try out a whole slab of ribs…..
Legit great BBQ!I’m from Memphis and was raised in a BBQ restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!!
Very disappointing experience. I contacted them to see if they wanted to participate as a vendor at an upcoming event in their hometown of Athens. Without even considering the number of attendees or the event date, they simply replied, "not interested," and abruptly hung up the phone. There was no explanation provided, just a disconnection. I was genuinely trying to support a local business, especially since there is no vendor fee involved. It's best to steer clear of these guys. Previously, when I spoke to them in person, they mentioned needing a two-week notice.
Stopped here on a trip to Tennessee. Good food with the exception of the slaw. More of a sweet store bought slaw than hand made, which I prefer. Chicken strip were good as was husband's baby back ribs. Fall off the bone tender.
