American Deli - Athens

First, this is not a deli. No fresh cut salami here. It serves everything from sandwiches and wings to gyro. Not much atmosphere in the dining area....seems cold and stark, but the service was fast and the food was good. I had a Phili Steak sandwich drink and fries for $8 which was very tasty. Fries were salted in front of you, so you can have them salted to your taste.

The last few times I ordered wings from them, they were extremely overcooked to the point of not even being edible. When calling in an order, they were less than courteous. They USED to have great food service. They have neither now.

Since I couldn?t seem to have gotten anyone to answer the phone last night before closing. I found an EYELASH EXTENSION in the bottom of my fries ???? as you see I was almost done with them before discovering it. Going back today with the plate to get my money back!

Place looked janky,kind of run down and sketch. No issues with the food but the guy at the pick up window seemed inattentive. Had to ask for napkins, straws,etc. Shouldn't that type of service be a given...? #PostCovidWorldissues

Great food, staff, and service! It is a great quick lunch option that is local. Would definitely recommend if you just want some quick, good food. Btw the lemon pepper wings are HEAVENLY.
