A little time was needed to figure out this address among others. What a wonderful restaurant! Avli truly celebrates Greek cuisine with so nicely prepared dishes. Both ingredients and cooking are top notches. The environment was welcoming, with an inviting backyard. Early December, the atmosphere was warm and quiet. Service was perfect. Thank you for the superb dinner. Great memory.

I go there for the good review but the food is so so and didn't meet the expectations. The portion is a bit small and you can easily find better restaurants in heraklion.

Beautiful, authentic, cozy, family run restaurant with amazing food. We ordered a selection of various starters. We tried the Greek salad, loukanido, grilled vegetables and fried lamb liver. Everything was cooked fresh and it was delicious from every single bite. After our meal we received a complimentary dessert selection. It was a really nice gesture and the dessert were super delicious. I highly recommend this place.

We went for dinner on Thanksgiving, planning to eat and drink and enjoy ourselves and Αυλη did not let us down. We had booked an early dinner, 6:00 pm, and we had our pick of tables. The waitress, which isn't really accurate, she was more than that, she was the owner's daughter, was absolutely wonderful. She went over the menu with us and helped us pick out lots of dishes, some familiar some not so much, which she then brought out for us to share at a nice leisurely pace.
