The Fox Den Restaurant - Athabasca

Wow. I wanted to relax after a long day. Looked at TripAdvisor and The Fox Den caught my eye. Great food? Great price? Great service? Great atmosphere? Really... up in Athabasca! I need to check this out. And I was not disappointed on all points. I'd say diamond in the rough but it is the clubhouse of a beautiful golf course so what would you expect. Do yourself a favourite and check this out. Hopefully you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Good friendly service and good food to keep people happy during the different meals of the day during the golf season. No better meal in Athabasca for under $25 than the full rack of ribs, with salad, garlic bread, whether with baked potato or a load of french fries when you want to reward yourself.

Working on a project this summer I was camped beside the Golf course where The Fox Den is located. Young and very courteous staff and some amazing food, I think one of the best breakfasts being offered in Athabasca. The menus and specials are adequate to anyone's taste and of course a fully stocked bar and a beautiful patio to sit on weather permitting to enjoy breakfast, lunch and or dinner. One of my favourites!

Decided on a hamburger. Wanted a loaded baked potatoe with it but they said this wasen't allowed. I guess they never heard the customer is always right!! So I had fries and gravey with my hamburger. Signed. Mr potatoe

This is a fabulous place for an alfresco summer meal. The view from the deck overlooks the golf course and surrounding woods - just gorgeous. The quality of the food has been known to vary from season to season, but generally it's good, full of "regular" food like hamburgers and wraps and pasta. I have never in my many visits here had food that was not good. Their wine list is decent and prices very reasonable. Folks are friendly. A good spot to eat in Athabasca, easily accessible just out of town on Hwy 813.
