Makani from Aswan Menu

What User likes about Makani:
delicious food, great service, reasonable prices. my favorite main dish was the chicken leg with medium spicy. chicken wings were also quite good. the entrance to the escap is from a staircase to the right from the top floor. I think the top floor is for the pick-up service, but it was closed when we ate here. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Makani:
Cash only. They don't serve alcohol. We were looking for a quick bite near our hotel late in the day. Unfortunately the menu primarily consisted of western food like burgers/sandwich and chicken. They didn't have anything on the menu that was lamb or something that's authentic and local (I would have loved to try camel meat). So I just ordered chicken wings. We came here twice during our time in Aswan. The first time we had the butterfly steak wrap and a chicken burger. It was good. The second time we were headed to El Masry but the owner was out for prayers. So we came here. At first we were told there wasn't a cook and ended up ordering 2 pies. But then, the cook walked in and the owner/manager took back our untouched pies. We had a half chicken with BBQ sauce along with the hummus and garlic bread sides. Their mixed salad is good too. Above all, this place was open during Ramadan! Makani is certainly a good place for food and drink in Aswan.

Best chicken in Aswan. Prices are above rest of restaurants but the quality is the best. Steak burgers, wraps, butterflied breasts and liver are very delicious. The side dishes are top notch: garlic bread, wedge potatoes and hummus. You can get a table with nearly a Nile view, but view can be enhanched if they trimmed the trees. One of my favorites in Aswan.

If you haven’t experienced Nubian cuisine then this place is a must! They use only clean ingredients to make spectacular flavours! Their entire menu looks delicious, wholesome and non-greasy. We shared a whole boneless chicken with the 3 side choices included. The server let us choose two different sauces for the grilled chicken since it was difficult to pick just one! I look forward to visiting this place again on my next trip to Egypt! Thank you so much!

Good and spacious space, nice staff, friendly price. U may need to wait for 30m for the food, but totally worths it. We ordered a 1/4chicken met grilled vegetables and three pieces of garlic bread (with rice, chips as side dishes) 10 wings, and a burger served with chips Very large portion. The staff were very kind and helped us to pack 10 wings. You may choose the flavor of the chicken—— very hot, medium, lemon herbs, BBQ, enzovoort Trust me the medium is already rather spicy. 4-5 cats wandered around, super cute. Good place to have lunch, to chat, to chill a bit.

Generous portion of chicken and tasty vegetables. Service was a bit slow due to a small number of floor staff and there were a few cats leaping about but that’s Egypt! We managed one of the few tables with a view out to the river. Juice Drinks were good value. An enjoyable evening.
