This restaurant was just over the street from where we were in Astoria. It became one of our favorite places to eat while in town. The food is tasteful, consistent, generous and imaginative. The service is friendly and efficient. We'll be back. View all feedback.
The atmosphere was sweet and quirky. In any case, some effort in designing the atmosphere. Waitress was sweet and attentive. The food was good, but not the best I ever had. There was too much salt on everything! This comes from someone who grew up under the Bible belt where we put salt on everything. We have the Pesto Chicken Mac and Vampire Burger with Calamari as an appetizer. I would certainly try this place again! Perhaps the cook or the person who clad the food could not add an additional salt at the end.
We were staying across the street at The Elliott and this place looked nice. We were lucky to get a table in the lounge and had a very nice meal. Michelle is the best drink maker and server! Recommend the Marsala steak medallions and raspberry drink. Lots of other great menu items.

It was half an hour till closing time and the place was packed, the maître D said there were no tables left. We asked for the table out on the sidewalk, and was told it was taken. Paul the owner intervened and said that the folks that had it had disappeared and yes we could be seated outside, and it was a cool evening on a historic downtown street with hardly any foot traffic or noise.. This was an important meal for me because it was my 68th Birthday, and most of the other restaurants in Astoria were already full or closing. After sitting and ordering Paul came out and told us the plant in the picture was for his late Mother who had previously run the supper club. Service was outstanding, cheerfully efficient , and delivered our courses with the proper timing. I had the best steak in years there, the salads were fresh and veggies steamed properly. The dessert and drink menus are colorful and varied, but I was so stuffed I wanted to skip dessert, If you order sides here or salads consider splitting the plate with your friend, the portions are big. The waitress noticed my Birthday card and brought ne a complimentary cheesecake . The prices may look high but we got out of there for less than $90 for dinner and drinks, a bargain nowadays considering the exquisite service and generous portions. Absolutely perfect and worth driving from Portland to dine.
What an awesome experience! The service was incredible and the food was fantastic! The only thing I'd advise is to make reservations so you don't have a long wait. This seems to be a popular local spot, understandably so. Either way, it was totally worth the wait. I realized after the fact that I didn't take any pics of the food or the lovely atmosphere. We were too busy taking it in. Definitely a must do place while on vacay in Astoria.
