And no lunch time customers but we were told it was a good place to eat our lunch. We were dubious because we had passed the restaurant on our way to were we could have stayed. It is set along side a main road and outside it looks poorly maintained. The temperature registered by our car was 38C and inside the restaurant it was airless and quite impossible to enjoy a meal. The outdoor seating area was just as hot so we asked for water, and were not charged by the kind couple who owned the place. We read the menu but did not eat here.
The owner of the accommodation we stayed at recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We dined the two nights we were in Asti – first night there was my husband and I and one other couple and the next night, only us! The food was of very high quality as was the wine list. The first night they did not have a fruit juice for me but as we booked a table the following night, the hosts bought some especially for me. It is a husband and wife team with the husband the chef. The food was fresh and imaginatively presented. The house dessert on both nights was different and thoughtfully made. We definitely recommend this restaurant.
What meat would you choose to eat at home a great tartare? and what wine would you put at the table to paste, and for the agnolotti you would choose of the non-fresh pasta?
