Assisi is really cold in winter and after a visit to the basilica of St Francis a few metres away there is this enticing confectionery and cafeteria. The choice of sweets is wide and the presentation above average for such a small place. Prices are also above average but tjis is expected a metres fron the main attraction in Assisi. Worth a visit for a snack and hot drink. View all feedback.
So expensive and the portions are too small. Ridiculously small. The quality of the product is also not good, they advertise it as artisinal but looks and tastes like Supermarkets.
For 2 coffees and slices of cake we were charged 18 euro! I was with my parents at the time who were tired and so I did not bother arguing overmuch.
Please do yourself a favour after wandering the streets of Assisi and stop for a sweet treat and coffee. I had a proper Italian hot chocolate (made on actual chocolate) and THE BEAT cannoli I have had in Italy ever! The owner is **** lovely and just generally delightful. He went above and beyond when my mum lost her purse and we were just so thankful for all of his help! Beside that, the food was fabulous, drinks superb and the spot is perfect after you’ve been to the basilica.

On the way up to the Basilica of St. Francis tho little bar looks inviting. Pas up the temptation to go in. Its cramped and over priced with mall portions. They must make their money off starving people getting off the busses in the car park.
