This was our first meal in the Flemish region of the country. We walked into the restaurant with all of our luggage, feeling concerned that we might have a difficult time or unintentionally offend someone. However, the friendly servers patiently answered all of my food, beer, and tourist-related questions. I asked if "koffie+advocaat" was a coffee and avocado smoothie, but it turned out to be something else entirely. I specifically came to try the raw beef sandwich, and it exceeded my expectations. I also discovered a delicious oak-aged beer and loved the glass it was served in so much that I bought one to take home with me.

Super friendly owners who will go the extra mile for the comfort and happiness of their customers. Although it 's next to a busy road, it 's a great and calm location just outside of Bruges. The bar is named after what they sell : pistolets , Belgian buns with all sorts of toppings. If you haven 't eaten yet make sure you try them!
