Steak 'n Shake - Ashtabula

A few weeks ago, the dining room reopened, and it looks fantastic! The renovation features user-friendly order kiosks with customizable options. The food and shakes were excellent, especially the cheese frits. An added bonus is that the prices are quite reasonable—our meal, which included two burgers, a small order of frits, cheese curds, and a large shake, only came to $15.

You can dine here now, but there are no waitstaff; instead, you place your order at a kiosk and pick it up at the counter when your number is called. This setup worked well for my wife, our grandchildren, and me. I would definitely return since I really enjoy their hamburgers.

I was craving a burger and wow, the service was simply excellent! The food was fantastic and it transported me back to my younger days when my friends and I would visit the local diner on Friday nights in my old '55 Chevy. You brought back some wonderful memories. I’ll definitely be returning for the burgers and onion rings. Thank you! Semper Fi (always faithful), a retired Marine.

The burger was creepy as the milkshake smells sour after a 10-minute drive to the house. not impressed by eating. the service of the personal was excellent tho.
