The Dari Barn - Ashley
The Dari Barn
Description
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Experience**
The restaurant boasts exceptional service, with dedicated staff working hard under challenging conditions. However, it struggles with menu availability and inconsistent hours, often limited to the presence of just one server. While the food quality is praised, recent visits reveal significant issues, including delayed orders, menu items running out, and disappointing dish presentations. New management has altered the local charm, leading to customer dissatisfaction over service experiences, especially with children. Despite its potential, the restaurant faces criticism for neglecting operational consistency and customer care, leaving loyal patrons hopeful for substantial improvements before returning.

Working in town Dairy Barn was a frequent stop for me. Since the new owners have taken over though things have sadly declined, and rapidly at that. Today I went in to pick up a Togo order for the first time in a month or so, when I walked in I was greeted with every type of flying insect it seemed like (bees, sweat bees, flies . I was willing to look past it even though there were no prevention measures (both doors open, both service windows leading to the kitchen left open to keep the bugs out of food and ice cream. My order was very simple, a full order of biscuits and gravy, Bosco sticks and a large peanut butter milkshake. I was told 30 minutes, waited 45 total, which is not horrible but very different from the 15 minute pick up we’re used to(as I said working in town it’s great to grab and get back to work I was more upset to see they had cut the portion of the biscuits and gravy to one biscuit(if it could be called that, it was more cracker consistency at this point, even sitting in a mess of flavorless water gravy. after being handed my food he stated they were out of peanut butter for the shake, I said that’s fine and substituted coffee flavor. I got an Oreo milkshake. At this point I just kind of gave up. They shut the doors right after I left and said they needed to close early due to being out of everything on the menu. I don’t like to be negative, especially towards new businesses/small business in the community but this is one place i will not be supporting for the time being until some new measures are put in.
Great prices nice staff and great food and choicesAlways great service and the best ice cream
