We joined a large family group for dinner at Smokin' J's in Ashland. This was our first time at this restaurant, while most of the others had eaten in this Ashland location previously. Overpriced undercooked, under portion, the pulled pork was one big clump of fat no meat. I showed server she said ewww. I asked when they gave us our bill to speak with someone he took 5 off the bill even though it was untouched and unedible. View all feedback.
One of the best steaks ever! Hubs had ribs and we kept stealing them. Super great waitress Kendall. We will be back! Only issue was the Mac cheese was dry and yucky. Everything else was awesome!Food: 4/5
Oh My-BBQ to die for.Ribs sauce perfect with tangy hints of smoke. Brisket is Devine and tender as wifies. Baked beans, roasted corn, loaded baked potato and slaw all were on point. Smokin J's hot all the high notes! Sad that we are passin' thru.Food: 5/5
Great option for large groups and very convenient for those also going to the movie theater. Beer special of buy one get one for $1 is a great deal. The food is good and will satisfy a crowd. It's not an award winning level of bbq that you would compare to other cities. However, it doesn't disappoint either. Dinner has better quality of meat than lunch. Side dishes were all good. We ordered brisket ribs.
I got ribs and pork, it was so good. I wanted a frozen blackberry margarita, but they were out of blackberry and their blender was broken. Strawberry on the rocks was good though! Definitely recommend!Food: 5/5

Everyone in this large party were very happy with their orders.
