First time there, the place was packed with an 1 1/2 hour wait. Went to the bar to get a drink and there was a table. Ordered food there and had the best server. Dylan took great care of us and the cooks were prompt with our food. Bit chilly but Dylan let us know they sold hoodies. View all feedback.
What Elwin Towne doesn't like about Round the Bend Steakhouse & Saloon:
The food was at great prices for the best steak. I had the main nativity I ate the worst. If you stay with the diner like food. I live in Nebraska. I can make a better piece of meat from my freezer. I mean that. Just no taste. Two people $62 including tip. View all feedback.
In our first trip to Round the Bend Steakhouse since the Covid-19 shut everything down, it was nice to see things were pretty much like the good old days. This popular eatery almost midway between Omaha and LIncoln packed them in when we stopped in the second week of June (2020). The service was outstanding as was the food. Word of advice: Get there early or face a wait for a table. The ballroom is the new dining room, and the old dining room is the waiting room. Still, it 's well worth the wait.
I stopped here with my daughter on Saturday night on our way home from Omaha. We had an hour wait, but that was to be expected on a Saturday night here. We had drinks at the bar while we waited. My margaritas were excellent (and not light on the tequila)! We both decided to have the prime rib sandwich which came with 2 sides. The prime rib was tender, flavorful, cooked perfectly (medium rare), and the portion was generous. In fact, we had to eat it with a knife and fork as we couldn't fold the bun over the meat! The mac n cheese side (house made, not from a box) was creamy and delicious. The onion rings were fat, crispy, and hot. I got the same meal to go, to take home for my husband. The sides (fries and mac n cheese) were generously portioned and they included au jus and mushrooms. The only criticism I have is that the mushrooms are the canned variety. Considering that they make homemade mac n cheese, I would think they would want to make their own sauteed mushrooms. However, this won't keep me from visiting again.
Have made many stops here. Some one made a change in Service and quality. It now is another good restaurant in a small community
Country, down-home, Christian atmosphere! DELICIOUS steak and rolls! All the wait staff were smiling and friendly! Worth the trip!
On way back from nebraska game, saturday night dropped for a quick meal. This is good old home cooking but the focus is steaks. very large eatery but it was full so opted for the bar. great service, lots of selection in beer but nothing too fancy. I had their prime rib sandwich prime rib on on friday/saturday nights. watch great steak and sandwiches fly by me. they cook as you want it and pricing is fair. Large cuts so act accordingly. Very much the country decor but very comfortable.
