7 of us had lunch today for my sons birthday. Service is great, food was amazing...just wish I'd order an extra portion of chunky chips to go with my sizzler because I had FOMO looking at everyone else eating theirs. Recommended by my mum who's been a few times in the last few months and has always had a great meal and service. Lots of little extra touches which really show experience in the hospitality industry. Had a family celebration here for 14 and gad a lovely time . Food was hot, delicious, plentiful. Service with a smile and prompt and polite. Thank you as it’s team work which you excelled at . Totally recommend if it’s a fair well , birthday , anniversary it’s worth considering this place . Oh and this landlady cares about her female customers being caught out with personal item , how many places would be this thoughtful. Big car park . Nice garden . Music events . Dog friendly .
A table for 4 for lunch today. a lamb roast, a bacon and onion pudding and two steak and kidney dinners. Absolutely cracking. I had the best steak and kidney pudding I have ever eaten. As we used to say proper stuffed not for the feint hearted. Along with drinks (mines a Ruddles, thanks). All at a very reasonable price, couldn 't be bettered. Service and staff excellent. Thankyou very much.
I was pleased to see that this pub now has a designated dog-friendly section, making it easy for us to bring our furry friends along. We thoroughly enjoyed the steak pie and the steak and stilton pie - both were absolutely delicious.
We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday at this restaurant. The staff were fantastic in organizing the event and were very accommodating, even though we had a large group and had to change the reservation time multiple times. They helped us hide the cake and keep the surprise a secret. We have visited this restaurant many times before and, as usual, the food and atmosphere were excellent. Thank you!
