What Christine A doesn't like about The George:
Service very poor. Wine we chose they had run out. Run out of Pork After 30mins had to ask if they would take our order. The bottle of wine we chose was just put on the table, not opened or even put in a cooler. Dinner took over an hour to arrive. The duck was tough and luke warm. Although we complained and were not charged for one meal and offered a complimentary drink each, it was too little too late. , View all feedback. What User likes about The George:

read moreThe George, a charming village pub and restaurant, offers a varied experience for diners. While some guests rave about the welcoming atmosphere, friendly service, and generous portion sizes, others report significant disappointments, particularly with service and food quality. Instances of long waits for orders and unresponsive staff have marred visits, alongside issues like unavailable menu items. However, many appreciate the reasonable prices and delightful Sunday roasts. With a mix of commendable meals and subpar experiences, The George remains a spot worth considering, though consistency in service could elevate its standing in the community.
