the second time we visited the dering arms in just one month. the menu is varied, but the main focus is fish that is well baked and brilliantly cooked. the wine list is varied and full of some remarkable bottles, so well worth checking...the time! service was always great; friendly and efficient. Make sure they leave time and rooms for a glass of their excellent armagnac. we're coming back. View all feedback.

I am a regular customer of this beautiful place and can only say that nothing can compare to the other ones I was recently with seafood there! all are delicious and I enjoy it every time I visited england;.We were also a few times in the one of the b
If this was a red letter “how to not run a business” experience then 5 stars. Unfortunately this isn’t, it’s a pub and hospitality is the name of the game, and the landlord just doesn’t want to play that game with you. Rude, Obnoxious, Avoid.

I'm amazed to see negative personal reviews about Jim. I first visited The Dering Arms 35 years ago when I was working nearby. Jim was there then as was he when I spent my wedding night there 28 years ago and again to date. We...had to cancel in the first COVID year but looking to book next month for my Birthday. Every visit including when we stayed with friends has been superb with the finest food and hospitality, I don't expect anything less on our next visit. For those whose negative reviews I have read, perhaps a Travelodge with their on site restaurant will fulfill your budget.
