the first time here last week, although my partner was already. we had eat, which was very cheap and beautiful for the money, especially the pizza. we will be back in any case as a side note; in the past we have tried to visit and use the electric car charger, but at several locations it would simply not work, which is not the pubs fault I accept, but it lost trading, as obviously we have for at least a few drinks, i... Food and service very average. Probably OK if you’re a group of friends watching sport in the bar, but wouldn’t recommend for families or to ‘treat the wife’. In no rush to return. View all feedback.
First time here, the mixed grill was cooked lovely! But was rather small in portions and i was abit disappointed. The atmosphere was good and the staff very friendly! I will definitely go back again. Overall it was a pleasant evening.
We visited on a Friday night a couple of weeks ago for a relaxed Friday night meal and a drink. Having not checked out the menu beforehand, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that we could order burgers for just £5, even on a Friday evening! Given that we’re vegetarian, we were also very pleased to see we still had some good options. For drinks, we had a couple of cocktails my wife had a “Purple Rain” and I had a “Godfather”. These were very well priced also at two for £8, which is again very good value for a Friday evening. We sat in the eating area towards the back of the pub where it was relatively quiet and comfortable. The place could probably do with a good clean or refurbishment though, or that area at least. We ordered a halloumi burger and the “Moving Mountains” burger to share, and got both of these for just £5 each which was brilliant. Both burgers were really good, and were served incredibly quickly as well. The Moving Mountains burger is tasty, but still doesn’t beat the “Beyond Meat” burgers!! There was a bit of a wait for the drinks, but they did bring these to the table which was nice. The only downside with the food was the very small amount of chips we were given, which made half of the plate look very sparse! If we’d known that was going to be the case, we’d have happily paid a little more for an extra portion between us. All in all, this was a really good meal considering how low the cost was, and we’d definitely look at going back in future.
Food has improved. I had a very good lasagne with a vinaigrette dressing on salad, my friend had sharing nachos with added pulled pork. Good offer on bottled beers and ciders. Good service and the staff very helpful.

The pub is ok if you like Marston's pedigree and Wainwright golden ale. Other than that it's all the usual keg lager at the bar. Food it quite good to .quite lively no music but TV screens at each end of the pub Large back garden and good parking area also served by buses close by.
