Badsha Indian Cuisine - Ashford
Badsha Indian Cuisine
Description
Badsha, an Indian restaurant in Tenterden, has garnered mixed reviews, particularly after receiving a concerning zero food hygiene rating. While many patrons praise the flavorful dishes and generous portions, they also note significant wait times and inconsistent food quality, particularly with chicken tikka masala. Positive experiences highlight the restaurant’s friendly service and inviting atmosphere, contributing to a cozy dining experience. Despite the lack of competition in the area, loyal customers continue to return, drawn by the promise of delightful culinary offerings. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, many still consider Badsha worth a visit for its vibrant flavors.

Extremely poor customer service, left us waiting for over 2hrs for a delivery that was meant to take 45mins, finally we gave up and made food and then when I asked for a refund, all of a sudden the manager wasn’t around. I suspect I won’t be getting my refund. Steer clear! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Other Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This is regularly the rudest place in Tenterden. I went on Monday with two friends at 9pm. There was nobody else in (no surprise) and the host greeted us with “we close at 10” in a way that made it clear he would rather we didn’t come in. We ordered poppadoms, a bottle of red wine and a jug of tap water. He then told us they don’t serve tap water due to health and safety!! I pointed out that I live in Tenterden and drink the water all the time. He insisted tap water could not be served, so in disgust we left and had a great meal at Ozgur. The welcome at Badsha is regularly brusque and rude. By the way it is illegal for restaurants not to offer tap water! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Ordered a takeaway for 8pm on the website and it arrived 1hr15m early when were not ready to eat but were told they were busy. We ended up eating it for fear of reheating the rice and wasting the money. Naan was cold and tikka masala a bit chewy. Disappointed.
