Although this is part of a chain, and thus the choice is a bit limited and decided at H.O. level, you will find something that you like. The coffees are always good, and a good selection, teas, buns etc. great for a snack or midday meal. The staff here are all brilliant and make the place, from the manageress, who appears to rule with a rod of iron, but has a heart of gold, they all do. My dearly departed Dad used to... What linedancelady doesn't like about Massarella's:
The Bronte biscuits are priced at £1.85 for a twin pack. When I mentioned that they could be purchased for 30p a pack at Wetherspoons, the assistant laughed and said, "Well, that's Massarellas for you." The latte coffee was good and hot, but it was also a bit pricey. I think I will be going back to Wetherspoons from now on. View all feedback.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere for people-watching. The staff went above and beyond when I came with my small baby, carrying our tray to the table without us even having to ask. Despite closing up, they didn't rush us. The coffee and cake were delicious and reasonably priced.
I am amazed by the complete transformation of this restaurant, now named Cafe Moda. It is absolutely fantastic! Congratulations to everyone involved, it is a brilliant job. The work done is stunning.
I'm a regular to get in a morning for a quick bite. But also have lunch here many times. The service is pleasant every time and one of the staff members in particular who has seen me many times, always ensures that you are looking at me when you speak, so I know what you are saying. Like I'm deaf.
This cafe is situated in the middle of the Idlewells shopping precinct. Staff are pleasant and helpfull. Costs are normal. There are many tables, but probably because of where it is, it is very popular and at lunch time seats can be scare. If you have to go to your table to wait for food you are not given any sort of number. This results in you having to listen when they bring it out. Not so easy if you hard of hearing and there is a general humdrum of noise. That aside, this is a good place for a break.
Had a goats cheese and caramelised red onion panini with chips. Cappuccino and slush. Food was fresh and hot. But its just standard stuff of a supermarket shelf. Expect a bit more for nearly 7 quid for a panini and chips. Drinks were average. They need to buy some more plates. They were battered. It was also pass the parcel with a bottle of vinegar. How about the staff use their initiative and go and buy 10 bottles from pound stretcher? Wont break the bank. This place needs to up its game. Its not all about taking peoples money!
