This is the closest café to my house and I was very excited when it opened. I go there regularly but have started travelling a bit further afield on a regular basis as I don't feel particularly welcome at times. I like to be acknowledged when I come in even if I am getting a takeaway. Several times recently I have felt a bit put out to have to stand at the counter whilst staff buzz around, make drinks, enter orders into the till and chat to each other without once even looking at me. Often these are the times when the owner is not in the café, I like the coffee and food and will continue to go to the café but I would wish for a bit more warmth.

As the title states, the coffee is sensational! I was looking for a new local place to try and found Pilgrim through various social media outlets. The coffee is poured to perfection and served at the perfect temperature.

I visited my family nearby & thought I would give this cafe a try. MISTAKE. The coffee (double shot flat white) was over-priced to elsewhere I have had in Sydney & certainly not the best...what a disappointment for the 1st coffee of the day. I then went for the raisin toast, again a dollar more than anywhere else I have tried during my stay...disappointment no.2. It came out a shade before being overdone & what I could have sworn was margarine they swore was butter (normally butter has a buttery taste, this had none). Having said all that the decor was pleasant enough & they certainly had enough take-away foot traffic so may be they were having a bad day (though it did not look like it) though what they should of had was good quality to make me walk away to look forward to another visit (not likely).

This charming neighborhood café was a delightful discovery. I truly enjoyed their food. The parking situation can be a bit challenging, and the café is quite cozy, which may make it feel a bit cramped. However, it is definitely worth a visit.

I recently visited the newly-renamed "3 Tomatoes" cafe and was impressed by the beautiful, rustic food, as well as the perfect coffee made by the new owners. It was my first visit, but I will definitely be back to enjoy their delicious offerings.
