Great hotel for midweek business stay. Alan on reception was very friendly and professional. I had to stay over last minute and he was helpful on the phone. Hotel was mainly a construction trades professionals crowd midweek (Wednesday). Bar was lovely, Room was clean and presentable, all you can ask for away from home. Price was euros or sterling, decent price. Would definitely stay again. I can’t comment on the food... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ashbourne Court:
The hotel is nice, but I can't say much about their bar/restaurant with their high booths. It may not be accessible for those in wheelchairs or elderly individuals as the seating is awkward and high up. View all feedback.
This has happened multiple times now. I requested garlic sauce with my order, but received curry sauce instead. I didn't mind the first time, but it's becoming a recurring issue.
I recently joined the National Spice Bag Tour and sampled the spice bag at this restaurant. I would give it a rating of 4.3 out of 5. It lost some points for being a tad too salty and lacking in spice. However, it made up for it with a variety of vegetables such as broccoli, crispy and non-greasy chips, and a generous portion size. The staff were honest about not having tofu available (as we are vegetarians), which we appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. I suggest enjoying it with a side of satay sauce for an even better flavor. - Avery Owl
I traveled from England just to try the spice bag, and it was absolutely delicious.
This is a 3-star hotel, slightly better than a B&B. The location is great for longer stays, but it's nothing fancy. The rates are reasonable compared to other hotels, but breakfast is not included. The service is average, but acceptable considering the rates. You can book in advance and pay with a debit or credit card. No security deposit is required. The bar closes early and breakfast must be ordered the day before, which is inconvenient. The ambience is decent for the price. There is a Chinese and Indian restaurant nearby, as well as Tesco and Aldi within walking distance. There is also a church for regular mass. It's not too crowded, but there are always tourists coming and going. Overall, it's a good place to stay with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. It's practical, but not luxurious. Enjoy your time in Ireland! Thanks for reading. Take care.
This Chinese restaurant is really good. I have never had a bad meal from here.
