Le Safran - Arzon

Excellent dining room and view however the food was expensive and really not good at all! The seafood linguine was simply awful. Tasteless and overcooked.

We stayed at the hotel for a long week-end and had our first diner at the restaurant le Safran, great place with a superb view and a very good service. We decided to go for a 3 course à la carte selection: Chair de crabe en gelée de crustacés Foie gras de canard mi- cuit Tartare de Bar as a starter followed by Saint-Pierre à la vapeur d'algues Ris de veau au sautoir Filet de boeuf et foie gras as a main course ... and a very nicely presented desert ... all together (food only) at 198.50€ (66€ pp) good quality food, nice portions and good flavours and a good price value balance ... With respect to wine and apero ... you need to be carefull as they turned out to be rather expensive ... another 90€ in total ... Overall a good place to dine out !

Apart from the very nice crustaceans, as well as desserts... everything is pretty expensive. But what is most unpleasant is the reception reserved for the client.e.s. We are asked to return 20 minutes later, while places were free; 20 minutes later, we are settled, but we are told that we can’t have the menu for a dark reason. When we’re at two on a table of 4 (when we’ve been installed there, we’re made aware that we’re embarrassed. It is only when you become a little irritable that you begin to have more enjoyable people in front of yourself. It is a little pity this welcome that is to be seen!!

We couldn't eat there on the pretext that there was no room even as guests were leaving the terrace and that inside, a single table was occupied.. so bad, we won't go back.
