Excellent food at great prices. I've always driven past these chain locations. This particular time however, I decided to give them a try. I called ahead to see if they served chicken fried steak. What D doesn't like about Black Bear Diner:
You can always tell when there's new people struggling in the kitchen.. I'm a truck driver I've made this Black Bear regular stop for over 12 years now.. Sometimes a little lacking but overall very good.. Today I was served twice fried stale french fries, the color alone is an instant giveaway but you put one in your mouth and the dried-up old stale inside of the fry tells the tale.. and my chicken fried steak was ov... Had a great experience! My hostess was Shayla, and she was incredibly friendly, patient, and wonderful to talk to. I had the Bob's Big Bear Burger, and I'll tell you it was fresh, hot, and made perfectly. The servers and hostesses reflect the diversity of the local community, and it's great to see. Highly recommended restaurant with great customer service, clean restrooms, and good ambiance.
Stopped there about a week ago for the first time for a couple burger baskets. Our waitress was very friendly and the was great. However, the seater should not have been the one doing that job. You've heard the term about first impressions. This girl had tattoos up to her face and the steel protuding from her face looks like she got into a fight with a fishing tackle box. Not very proffesional in my opinion.
Ismael and night staff and Manager Janice very nice and helpful. Best night crew and team and very hard workers and working well as team.
Well, I sat down and got my food order taken right away definitely a lot better than El Paso
