Elins Bakgård - Arvika

Well situated in the town centre, just a couple of blocks from the main square. The building itself is fantastic, very new but built and decorated in old style and the interior is certainly worth a closer look. Old and new furniture, local arts and crafts, wooden floors and a magnificent fireplace. They serve lunch every day, always with a vegetarian option, but we just had coffee and cake. The passion fruit cheesecake was really good, but the coffee ... Well, this is my only complaint. The coffee was really terrible. Weak filter coffee left standing for a long time is rarely good, and this was no exception. It was very weak and barely warm. I asked for a cappucino, but was unfortunately told they didn’t serve that. Surely with better coffee and perhaps a bigger selection of the same, this place would certainly be at the top of my list for Arvika.

Delicious lunch buffet with soup. Gluten free and vegetarian at its base, but can add meat and bread for no extra cost. Improvement would be wider range of gluten free cakes.

Good selection of food and sweets. Good coffee, tea, cocoa. Great interior and atmosphere. The staff are always cheerful and attentive. Recommended!

This cafe have a very nice atmosphere and a nice garden where you can sit outside when the weather is good. High quality and tasty food is served during lunch time and fika is always available. Do not miss Elins Bakgård if you visit Arvika

A lovely cosy place to drink some coffee or tea with some cake. Feels like being home. Cake was great. And a place full of light!
